IPEMA–Poultry India Showcases Innovation and Collaboration at 12th Kolkata International Poultry Fair 2026

Kolkata, February 2026: IPEMA–Poultry India marked a significant and impactful participation at the 12th Kolkata International Poultry Fair (KIPF) 2026, reaffirming its commitment to collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth in the Indian poultry sector.

Organized by the West Bengal Poultry Federation in association with the Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal, the four-day fair served as a vital platform for knowledge exchange, technology showcase, and strategic partnerships across Eastern India.

NOVACON 2026 – Conference on Innovation in Poultry

IPEMA–Poultry India commenced its engagement with active participation in NOVACON 2026 on Day 1 of the Fair. The conference featured internationally reputed speakers and industry experts who shared insights on technological advancements, innovation-driven practices, and sustainability strategies to strengthen the Indian poultry sector.

Following the successful conclusion of NOVACON 2026, Shri Sapan Debnath, Hon’ble Minister for Animal Resources Development, Government of West Bengal, ceremonially inaugurated the 12th KIPF, formally opening the exhibition.

Strong Presence Across the Fair

From 11th to 13th February 2026, IPEMA–Poultry India maintained a dynamic presence through its exclusive pavilion at the exhibition. The IPEMA Pavilion emerged as a vibrant networking and knowledge-sharing hub, attracting industry leaders, manufacturers, integrators, veterinarians, and key stakeholders from across the region.

The Pavilion was inaugurated by prominent industry leaders including Shri Madan Mohan Maity, General Secretary, West Bengal Poultry Federation; Shri Sameer Agarwal, Managing Director, Shalimar Hatcheries Limited; Shri Ranpal Danda, President, Poultry Federation of India; Shri Jitendra Verma, President, World Veterinary Poultry Association (India Chapter); Shri Vasant Kumar Shetty, President, Pan India Broiler Breeders Association; Shri Santosh Ire, Secretary, Vets in Poultry; and Shri Sanjeev Gupta, Vice President, Poultry Federation of India.

Thirteen IPEMA member companies showcased cutting-edge products, advanced technologies, and innovative solutions through exclusive individual stalls, demonstrating the collective strength and capabilities of the association.

On the concluding day, the Fair was further honored by the visit of Shri Pradip Mazumdar, Hon’ble Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development, Government of West Bengal, who attended as Special Guest at the IPEMA–Poultry India Pavilion.

Throughout the three days, the IPEMA delegation actively engaged with stakeholders, fostering meaningful discussions and exploring new avenues of collaboration. The event also received extensive coverage from Poultry India Media, amplifying the visibility of IPEMA’s participation.

President’s Address and Industry Outlook

Addressing stakeholders during the Fair, IPEMA President Mr. Uday Singh Bayas emphasized the association’s steadfast commitment to innovation and collaboration. He invited industry participants to join the 18th Poultry India Expo 2026 to be held at HITEX, Hyderabad, from 25th to 27th November 2026, and expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and organizers for strengthening the poultry ecosystem in Eastern India.

Eastern India – A Growing Poultry Powerhouse

West Bengal continues to play a pivotal role in India’s poultry growth story, contributing 12.62% to national poultry meat production, ranking 4th in egg production with 1,623.9 crore eggs in 2023–24, and achieving an impressive 18.07% growth rate—well above the national average.
