IPEMA–Poultry India proudly supported and participated in the World Veterinary Day 2026 celebrations, held in collaboration with the Department of Poultry Science, College of Veterinary Science (CVSc), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The event was centered around the theme “Veterinarians: Guardians of Food and Health.”
The program was graced by Chief Guest Dr. M. Gnana Prakash, Honourable Vice Chancellor, along with Guest of Honour Dr. M. Udaya Kumar. Shri Uday Singh Bayas, President, IPEMA–Poultry India, attended as Special Guest, reinforcing the industry’s commitment to strengthening academia–industry collaboration and advancing veterinary science.
Under the chairmanship of Dr. R. M. V. Prasad, the event brought together distinguished speakers, faculty, students, and industry professionals for an engaging and insightful technical session.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Uday Singh Bayas emphasized the critical role of veterinarians in ensuring food safety, public health, and scientific awareness. He highlighted the importance of bridging academia and industry, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students, and underscored the need to dispel myths surrounding poultry and nutrition.
Reaffirming IPEMA’s commitment to knowledge exchange, innovation, and nurturing future professionals, prizes for the top five winners of the elocution competition held prior to the event. The competition was based on the theme “Poultry Products and Lifestyle Diseases: Myths, Facts, and Veterinary Insights,” encouraging scientific thinking and effective communication among young veterinarians.
Adding further significance, prizes were presented to the top five winners, recognizing their excellence and contribution.
During the technical session, expert speakers shared valuable insights on career prospects in the poultry sector:
Dr. Mujeeb Ather, Senior Poultry Consultant, delivered an engaging session on the poultry sector in India, outlining vast opportunities and offering practical guidance to aspiring professionals. His address motivated students to pursue excellence in the poultry and veterinary domain.
Dr. Srinivas Rama Raju highlighted key industry prospects, focusing on the scope for entrepreneurship and consulting services in poultry farming. His insights encouraged students to explore innovative career pathways within the industry.
The event served as a meaningful platform highlighting the indispensable role of veterinarians in food safety, public health, and the future growth of the poultry sector, while inspiring the next generation of professionals.
