Novus Celebrates World Egg Day and Supports Egg Consumption

October 2017 – Novus International, Inc., a global leader in developing animal health and nutrition solutions celebrated World Egg Day in many locations around South Asia and South East Asia this October. Aligning with the company’s vision “to feed the world affordable wholesome food and achieve a higher quality of life”, Novus organized events and partnered with various professional entities to support the industry in spreading the awareness of the nutritional value of eggs.
In India, Novus celebrated World Egg Day in various cities including Chennai, Namakkal, Pune and Hyderabad. Dialogues on the benefits of eggs was initiated around the country and eggs were distributed in various forms to schools and to the public in general.
In Chennai, Novus visited the Cancer Institute in Adayar. Patients, doctors and all staffs were provided boiled eggs for their mid-day meal. The nutritional benefits of eggs were presented and everyone was given pamphlets to take home.The Novus office team also visited children at AnnaiAnathaiIllam in Chennai and shared the benefits of eggs for youngsters as well as distributed boiled eggs to all the children and staff at the orphanage.
While inNamakkal, Novus joined hands with the Veterinary College and Research Institute and the Tamil Nadu Poultry Farmers Association. A rally was conducted to promote the benefits of eggs consumption where Novus distributed leaflets to reemphasize the importance. The event was attended by around 80 students and 20 farmers.

In Hyderabad, World Egg Day event was celebrated in ECIL locality where around 2000 people gathered to receive eggs and learn about the importance of egg consumption. The event was highly supported by the local municipality leader and local layer farmers to distribute eggs to the visitors. Novus distributed egg day bookmarks and caps to the visitors.

For Pune, Maharashtra, Novus partnered with the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Maharashtra to sponsor a deliberation in Balgandharv where experts highlighted the nutritional value of eggs and the contribution of the layer industry to the rural economy in poverty-alleviation and fighting malnourishment. Over 90,000 boiled eggs were distributed in municipal schools and hospitals of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. Novus distributed world egg day caps and leaflets to promote the benefits of egg.

Novus believes that good health starts with good nutrition and thus took pronounced initiatives to raise the awareness on the consumption of eggs which is a great source of proteins as well as vitamins and minerals.
