Cargill’s Provimi Animal Nutrition India Pvt Ltd hadrecently organized a series of technical seminars on the topic “Postbiotics and Gut health management” for the poultry fraternity across several locations in India. This seminar series was organizedunder the banner Cargill Connect’ withthe objective to educate the Indian poultry fraternity on a new concept of postbiotics. Postbiotics are a next generation gut health solution with consistent and promising results from Diamond-V, a Cargill entity, manufactured with a proprietary fermentation technology.
The first seminar was held in Karnal in Haryana on July 3,2022 at Hotel Noor Mahal Palace. It was attended byover 100 customers and poultry consultants from Haryana, Punjab and Gujarat. Dr Jared Serem from Diamond -V team,spoke to the audience on the concept of Postbiotics and its benefits to the poultry species. This was followed by a keynote address by DrK. Jayaraman, an independent poultry management specialist on Maximising Genetic Potential through gut health.
The second seminar was held on July 6,2022 at Vivanta Begumpet, Hyderabad where over 50 poultry veterinarians from various parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh participated. Dr Jared Serem explained the Diamond-V Postbiotic concept, followed by keynote address by Professor Dr D. Chandrasekaran on Gut Health Management in poultry.
The last seminar in July for this series was organized on July 8, 2022, at Hotel Le Meridien, Coimbatore for the Poultry breeders and Veterinarians. The seminar was attended byaround 40 owners and vets of the leading poultry group. Following the lecture by DrJared from Diamond-V on Postbiotics,Dr Sushil Kumar Dhariwal, an independent poultry breeder consultantspoke about his views on the challenges and management of broiler breeder flock.
The lectures were well appreciated by the audience, and they encouraged Cargill’s Provimi team to organize such technical events going forward as wellfor the benefit of the industry.
